Introduction

The CLB offers an increasingly wide range of complementary care options, support or assistance. These services were initiated as long ago as the 1980s with the recruitment of a hairdresser to assist patients with alopecia, followed by a psychiatrist 10 years later – the first at a center for the fight against cancer.

2,882 patients were treated by the Interdisciplinary Department for Patient Support Care in Oncology (IDPSC) in 2017.

  • 596 patients seen regularly by the mobile palliative care team
  • 2,136 patients seen regularly by the physiotherapy team

  • 1,935 patients seen regularly by the social service
  • 786 patients seen regularly by a care assistant
  • 2,194 patients received in the patients’ meeting and information space (espace de rencontre et d’information patients, ERI)
