  • Communize waste (since 2005); this system repurposes directly on site most waste coming from care and research activities. Waste are repurposed and sent directly to the household waste channel, which saves 210 trucks traffic a year.
  • Use of the Grand Lyon urban heating system. The CLB heating system runs on household waste treatment (60%) and fossil energy (40%): gas, petrol or electricity.
  • Suppression of the high-risk legionellosis deployment air-cooled tower. This was replaced by  air-cooled heat exchangers
  • The Building 3, dedicated to ambulatory cares, and the Cheney B building, which hosts research teams and the bio- pathology department, meet the High Environmental Quality standards (HEQ).
  • The CLB is certified for the fluorescent lamps, state-of-the-art bulbs and batteries collection: the containers are available in a dedicated area next to the Building L.
  • Paper selection is performed in accordance with privacy and the provider in charge of the general maintenance uses “ecobio” cleaning products.
