Making an appointment at the Centre Léon Bérard

The Centre Léon Bérard is a specialized centre entirely dedicated to oncology.

It proposes a global management of cancer patients, from the diagnosis to the follow-up according to a multidisciplinary committee policy

 

To get an appointment with a specialized physician in the Centre Léon Bérard you can ask for some information to the reception desk if you can speak french : 0033 (0)4 78 78 28 28 or send an email to internationalpatient@lyon.unicancer.fr

 

The reception staff will then direct you to a physician with regards to your demand.

Required documents for the first appointment

  • Identity : ID card, passport, residence permit
  • A private insurance covering your treatments and specifying the available benefits, especially the copayment and the daily rate.
  • A E112 form, for European Community citizens, except France
  • You medical file or if not, mails from your GP, imaging (x-rays, ultrasounds, scans on films or CD) and biopsy and pathology reports.

Another documents and reports may be requested of you.

 

Please bring Original documents for each appointment even if they have already been recorded in your patient file, especially for a new radiology exam, your medical and biological exams as well as any exam previously performed, your prescriptions.

Several biologic and/or imaging exams will be carry out upon this first appointment (with a specialist) to make a diagnosis. You will then be given a new appointment depending on the length of time taken to interpret the exams.
