Quality indicators of the Centre Léon Bérard

The French National Authority for Health (HAS) created quality indicators for the continuous improvement of quality and security of care within health establishments. 2 types of indicators are available:

First of all, quality indicators for patient management

In the quality improvement process coordinated by the HAS, 5 quality indicators for patient management show whether criteria sustained at the national level (weight follow-up, pain measure…) have been correctly noted in the medical patient file.

Outcomes are indicated in percentages of conform files, that is to say including all information required

In December 2016, the Centre Léon Bérard had 78/100 of patient satisfaction, ranking us at the 3rd place amongst the whole hospitals of the Rhône-Alpes region.

5 indicators are also given:

  • Composite indicator of activities on nosocomial infection control (ICALIN.2)
  • Indicator on hydro-alcoholic product consumption (ICSHA.2)
  • Composite indicator of surgical site infection control (ICA-LISO)
  • Composite indicator on the correct use of antibiotics (ICATB.2)
  • Composite indicator on the dissemination control of multi- resistant bacteria (ICA-BMR)
